Our Safeguarding Courses

We have several safeguarding qualifications. covering children, young people, and vulnerable adults. These courses are ideal for people who work with children or in adult social care and anyone who carries out voluntary work.

Level 2 Award in Safeguarding children

Level 2 Award in Safeguarding and Protecting Children and Young People.

This qualification will provide an understanding of safeguarding which can be used in a workplace, activity group or any instance where a person has contact with children and young people. The qualification provides learners with the knowledge to identify a safeguarding concern, record a disclosure and report to the appropriate person. Upon completion successful delegates will be issued with a Level 2 Award in Safeguarding and Protecting Children and Young People which is valid for three years.  

Delivery

The course is delivered over 6 hours face-to-face or via webinar.

Assessment

Assessment is carried out via multiple choice question paper.

Level 3 Principles of Safeguarding and Protecting Children, Young People, or Vulnerable Adults

This qualification is suitable for supervisors and managers who have contact with children or adults at risk in their working environment. The course promotes awareness and sensitivity to safeguarding, enabling learners to identify the types of abuse, record disclosure and appropriately share information with the relevant people. Upon completion successful delegates will be issued with a Level 3 Principles of Safeguarding and Protecting Children, Young People, or Vulnerable Adults which is valid for three years.

Delivery

The course is delivered over 12 hours with two options. Face-to-face or distance learning including 4-hours webinar and 8 hours self-study.

Assessment

Assessment is dependent on how the course was delivered. Face-to-face learning is assessed a practically through role play and scenario-based activities and a short answer question paper. The distance learning option is assessed via a recorded professional discussion with your tutor/assessor.
