Level 3 Emergency First Aid at Work

The level 3 Emergency First Aid at Work course is for the first aider employed in low-risk sectors such as shops, offices, schools, libraries etc. The course meets the requirements of the Health and Safety (First Aid) Regulations 1981. The course covers numerous subjects and practical scenarios such the role of the first aid, CPR, treatment for shock, bleeding by the end of the course you will have acquired knowledge and skills to deal with common first aid incidents in your workplace. All delegates are provided with learning resources including first aid manual, pen, and CPR pocket face shield.

Delivery

The course is delivered over 6 hours face-to-face or blended via webinar. Due to the qualification requirements, there is a maximum of 12 delegates per one trainer. We can cater for more than 12 however, this will require a second trainer and at an additional cost.  

Upon completion successful delegates will be issued with a regulated Level 3 Emergency First aid at Work qualification valid for three years.

Assessment

The course is assessed practically using first aid scenarios and via a multiple-choice question paper.

Level 3 First Aid at Work

The level 3 First Aid at Work course covers more subjects and goes into more depth than the Emergency First Aid at Work Course. The course is suited for those who work in a higher risk industry such as construction, agriculture, manufacture etc. where more knowledge is required.

Body: The course builds upon what is covered in the Emergency Frist Aid at Work course however it will give you the skills and knowledge to deal with a greater range of first aid scenarios such as dealing with common medical emergencies such seizures, anaphylaxis and dealing with a diabetic emergency. Delegates are provided with full resources to complete the course.

Delivery

The course is delivered over 18 hours face-to-face or blended via webinar. Due to the qualification requirements, there is a maximum of 12 delegates per one trainer. We can cater for more than 12 however, this will require a second trainer and at an additional cost. 

Upon completion successful delegates will be issued with a regulated Level 3 First aid at Work qualification valid for three years.

The course is assessed practically using first aid scenarios and via a multiple-choice question paper.

Paediatric First Aid

Level 3 Paediatric First Aid

The level 3 Paediatric First Aid course is perfect for those who work in an early year’s setting such a nursery, child minder, nanny, teaching assistant or reception teacher.

The course is approved by Ofsted and will help your childcare setting meet the requirements of the Early Years Foundation Stage Regulations (EYFS)

Upon completion successful delegates will be issued with a regulated Level 3 Paediatric First Aid qualification valid for three years.

Delivery

The Paediatric First Aid course is delivered over 12 hours either via face-to-face learning or by far more popular option for people who work in childcare is blended learning. This equates to 6 hours online and 6 hours face-to-face we regularly deliver the classroom-based training on a Saturday at our venues across London and the South East.

Assessment

The course is assessed practically using first aid scenarios and via a multiple-choice question paper.

Management of Anaphylaxis Course

Level 3 Immediate Management of Anaphylaxis 

This course is suitable for all First Aiders and healthcare professionals, as well as those in a high risk environment where such medication is available.

An Anaphylactic shock, or anaphylaxis, is a life-threatening, serious allergic reaction to an allergen such as food substances or insect stings. If it is not treated appropriately, it may cause death. This training is for qualified First Aiders and Emergency First Aiders to enable them to recognise and treat anaphylaxis safely and effectively.

When administering a medication, it is important to recognise and differentiate between allergic reactions and the potentially life-threatening anaphylactic reactions immediately. It is also essential to determine whether the individual has had an allergic or anaphylactic response to the medication in the past or prior to administration.

Delivery

The course is delivered face-to-face.

Assessment

A range of methods are used, including, practical and questioning (open and multiple-choice).

Level 3 Oxygen Therapy Administration 

This course is suitable for qualified First Aiders, Emergency First Aiders, dental practitioners and dental care professionals, nurses, healthcare professionals and others working in an environment where oxygen is available for casualty welfare.

This training enables users to administer oxygen safely and effectively, for casualties with breathing difficulties. Delegates will learn how and when to administer oxygen to a casualty and the safety concerns with carrying, storing and administering it.

Delivery

The course is delivered face-to-face.

Assessment

A range of methods are used, including, practical and questioning (open and multiple-choice).

Level 2 Award in Basic Life Support

This level 2 qualification is for those who have an interest in or are required to carry out annual basic life support training such as dental staff or those working in a GP surgery. The course is delivered over three hours via face-to-face learning. Upon completion successful delegates will be issued with a regulated Level 2 Award in Basic Life Support which is valid for three years.

Delivery

The course is delivered over three hours by face-to-face teaching.

Assessment

Assessment is carried via practical observation and multiple-choice-question paper.
